Martin Lawrence as Sheneneh

Snip From Martin Fifth Season
If Martin Lawrence does not return to television with his comedy, Martin, keep in mind that he has played plenty of characters. Martin could bring Sheneneh back and still have Tommy, Pam, and all of the old characters that would be willing to make the comedy. He could name the show Sheneneh. It doesn't have to be Martin. People have enjoyed the character Sheneneh. It was fun watching her threaten Pam and Gina. Deep down, she was a good hearted person. Sheneneh was crazy, funny, and I'll never forget when her feelings got hurt on her date with Kid of Kid-N-Play. Sheneneh is a character that is fun to watch and can really make you laugh. She's also bossy and don't take no mess. I miss seeing the character Sheneneh. I miss Martin. I know. I can say that again huh?

Bounce TV

YouTube
You have heard of BET. It is a black entertainment station on cable. This morning when I woke up, it was raining, and fox 14 did not look right. It was early in the morning and Soul Train was on. Little did I know that it was not channel 41.1 but channel 14.2. The new station is called Bounce TV. I did not know that Bounce TV is the first African American broadcast network, featuring a programming mix of theatrical motion pictures, sporting events, documentaries, specials, inspirational faith-based programs, off-network series, original programming and more.  BET is the only African American broadcast station I have ever known. So I have learned something new. Bounce TV was founded on April 4, 2011 and is majority owned-and-operated by African Americans. I never knew that they existed. So far, I like what I am seeing.

LA Times Could Be Television News

The LA Times is a big newspaper. They have lots of breaking news in sports, entertainment, and in many categories. LA Times could be a 24 hour news station. We could read about it, and see it on television. A family called the Chandlers invented LA Times. More could be done. The LA Times could be bigger than a newspaper. However, people still love to read the news. Some people must have their newspaper. That is a good thing. Newspapers may change, but news will never die.

Watch Everday Health on TV

Google Image
Boxing star, Laila Ali will be co-hosting a new television series, "Everyday Health", along with Ethan Zohn and Jenna Morasca. If you know Laila Ali, you know she is really into the health stuff. Well, she chose to help people in something that everybody is wondering about and looking for answers. I was always told to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and exercise. It's not always easy when you are working in the morning and late in the evening everyday. Sometimes you just want to grab something quick to eat because you are just too tired to cook. Your body tells you, "I want rest!" Your stomach tells you, "Feed me!" Then your body tells you, "I've got too much fast food. I need a home cook meal."  Your mind and spirit will say, "I'm too tired!"

Overworking and not getting enough rest is bad for your body too. Not having time to relax and enjoy life can be bad for you. If you know Laila Ali, she will probably cover everything that is in the book. Laila Ali is really into the subject about health which will help make, "Everyday Health", a great television series.

Tron: Uprising

Today I went to Block Buster to get Tron Legacy. I was all excited when they showed a preview of the new Tron that I thought was coming to the theaters. It is called Tron Uprising and it is animated. I found out from the Internet that it is going to be a television series. It was kind of disappointing to find out. I was hoping for a part 2 to the big screen.

Madea as a Television Series

Clip From, " Madea Goes to Jail"
Tyler Perry is always making plays and movies. I think that is just great, but I wish that he would make Madea a television series. It would be the best comedy on television after Martin Lawrence. I believe that Fox would be glad to have Madea. Martin was a hit on Fox, and I believe Madea would be a bigger hit. I believe that it could be the longest running television series ever. As much as Tyler Perry makes up plays with the Madea character, he could save some ideas for a television series.

Madea is fun to watch. I don't know why she isn't a television series. There is no good comedy act like Madea. Everybody loves Madea. Tyler could make even more money if Madea was a television series. I can see me now rushing to sit down after cooking a meal to see Madea before 8:00 pm maybe. I can hear all of my friends at work in my mind saying, "Don't forget to watch Madea tonight at eight." Madea is needed for television because everything else is dead. We need some life to television. We need Madea.

Tisha Campbell and Sarcoidosis

Google Image
Bernie Mac died from Sarcoidosis. Some say that it is a lung disease, but it can affect other parts of your body too. My father has Sarcoidosis. He has had it for years and has been taking Prednisone for years. His old doctor told him that he would never be able to come off of the medicine, but his new doctor is trying to get him off of his medicine. He believes that there is a chance that his Sarcoidosis might go away after that. Prednisone can make your bones soft and can do damage too.

It is said that Tisha Campbell from the hit comedy series, "Martin", has Sarcoidosis too. I hope and pray that she is doing well with it. I wish she and Martin Lawrence would bring back the comedy one more time as a reunion. Me and my cousin still love to watch the repeats of Martin and people that we know. The show was doing so well.  If Gina (Tisha) and Martin continue to play as a married couple, it doesn't have to be the same as it was before. After all the years that have gone by, they could come back as a more mature couple. In real life, people make mistakes, are young and foolish, do dumb things, hurt, and have regrets. In comedy, they can relate to the audience that way. People need to see a show that can teach lessons and a show that makes sense in a fun way. There should still be comedy and laughter. I'm sure Martin and Gina has experienced a lot in real life, and in acting, they will know how to act out what might be real in the lives of others. They are truly missed.

If there is going to be no more Martin comedy, I hope and pray that both Martin Lawrence and Tisha Campbell have a long and good life and the rest of the crew that played in the comedy. It's nice seeing them in other comedy and shows from time to time. However, no comedy is as good as Martin. To me, the Martin TV series is still number one.

Me-TV

Clip From MeTV
Me-TV is a great television station full of old good memories. One late night, I saw the old western, Raw Hide. Raw Hide was before my time, but I remember my mother telling me about it. If you watch Me-TV, you get to see Mash, Cheers, Perry Mason, The Twilight Zone, The Untouchables, and lots more.

LL Cool J 1998 Coca Cola Commercial

Clip From LL Cool J 1998 Coca Cola Commercial

Do you remember LL Cool J's 1998 Coca Cola Commercial? I loved it. It was a father and daughter commercial. I think it should have been made into a comedy series for television. I do believe it would have made a big hit too. The commercial was so cute. LL Cool J was really trying to braid his daughter's hair. I laughed until my sides began to hurt. This was a great commercial based on real life. LL Cool J was doing all he could for his daughter and spending time with her. He couldn't braid hair quite right, but he was being a father to his daughter.

3D TVs

What turns people off from buying 3D TVs?

CNET Asia - Erica Ogg
And therein lies the main problem with 3D TVs. The prices of the sets will eventually fall--in fact it's already happening, more on that in a moment--but we're still not that close to not wearing 3D glasses while watching a 3D television at home. ...

Teleblog: The problem that I have with buying a 3D TV is I am just not interested. It's too new and it hasn't been around that long. It seems as if it is an experiment. As soon as you buy one, it will be made better in the long run with more added on. Technology is something that keeps you spending money and you will forever buy this thing or that thing. There is no end. I'm satisfied with what I have.

Digital TV Almost Cable TV

It's been more than a year watching digital TV for me. My antenna has picked up 2 music channels that are sometimes not available. Digital TV is almost like cable. I watch the This Channel, ION, Qubo and CW. The Qubo channel is great to watch late at night because it shows all of the old cartoons like She-Ra and He-Man. Digital TV has given a variety that regular television did not have before. In the future, I hope that digital TV will be full of more educational channels similar to the History channel. I hope that at least a hundred channels will be pulled in to stay by antenna. Digital TV will probably be competition to cable unless everything becomes one for all in the future.

Tom and Jerry Were the Good Old Days

Clip from Tom and Jerry

Channel

When I sit down to watch cartoons with my little step brother, he watches new cartoons of today like Spongebob and cartoons I do not even know the names of. When I showed him cartoons like Mickey Mouse and Tom & Jerry, he became hooked on them. He had forgotten about cartoons like Spongebob. To me, cartoons like Spongebob doesn't make any sense. Even Looney Toons made more sense than Spongebob. Spongebob is the real looney.

Once I read that cartoons like Tom and Jerry and Looney Toons were too violent for children to watch. Tom and Jerry and Looney Toons were the good old days.  I turned out fine watching the old cartoons growing up and all of my classmates. All of the children that turned out to be violent were violent anyway because they were half raised young'ins. I must admit that children can copy what they see on television, but when your parents are always disciplining you, you know what to copy and what not to copy as a child.

My favorite cartoon of Tom and Jerry was Jerry's cousin. It taught me that I shouldn't be afraid when another child bullied me at school. It was teaching me how to fight back like my mother did or else I was going to be bullied to death. After I started fighting back, I wasn't bullied much anymore. Tom and Jerry taught good lessons about how to fight or outsmart an enemy. I saw it through the eyes of a child. There was good in those old cartoons. Yes, there was violence in Tom and Jerry, but it helped a weak one that needed to fight.

Martial Law

http://www.tvrage.com/shows/id-4381
Google Image
Do you remember the Chinese cop from the television series, Martial Law? He was Sammo Law (Sammo Hung). Sammo was amazing in fighting. In season one, there was Kelly Hu as Grace and Tom Wright as Winship. Those are the main two characters that I remember seeing. In season two, I remember Arsenio Hall as Terrell, and Gretchen Egolf as Amy. Kelly Hu was in both seasons.

Martial Law was a series from the year of  1998 to 2000. Sammo was a Chinese cop that came to Los Angeles in search of a colleague and remains in the U.S. Sammo's martial arts got my attention to the show. The show reminded me of Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker of the Rush Hour movie. I wish that Martial Law could come back to television with new episodes.

Hawthorne Series

Google Image

Hawthorne is a television series starring Jada Pinkett Smith. It is an hour long medical series on TNT. It is being renewed for a third season and is going to premier in June 2011. That tells me that the show is doing great. However, there have been some negative reviews, but I thought the show was good from what I could see.

Jada Pinkett is Christina Hawthorne. Jada has the leading role. She is a chief nursing officer. Jada plays a more mature role than most of the roles she has played in the past. She does a great job in Hawthorne. Jada also plays as a mother with a teenage daughter. She has children in real life. That's what makes a great actress. If a person is able to act on some real life experience, they got it going on. With loved ones passing away, seeing doctors that don't care, seeing doctors that make mistakes, seeing doctors that do care, and seeing family that don't care could really help Jada make Hawthorne an even greater television series. In hospitals, you find mean nurses on the fifth floor, and the most sick people on another floor. There is all kinds of stories out there in real life for Hawthorne. I hope that there will be a fourth season. Good luck Hawthorne on the third season.

Elton John's Song Nikita for CW's Nikita

http://www.cwtv.com/shows/nikita

  • Do you remember Elton John's song, Nikita? It is a song about the cold war. The song was released in 1985. The song was successful in many countries according to Wikipedia. I think it would be a beautiful song for CW's hit series, Nikita, for one night. Elton John could be a special guess on the show at a club. CW's Nikita is in a time of war also, but only in a different way. I think the song would be perfect for one episode.

Flash Series Ahead of It's Time

Flash was a television series ahead of it's time. When I look at the Flash Intro, it reminds me of the Intro from the Spiderman movie of today that was in theaters. The music theme reminds me of Spiderman, but Flash came before Spidey's movie.

Flash was a DC comic character. I really enjoyed the series for television. I think that it should be aired again for television because super hero movies are so popular these days.

lloyd007a channel

My favorite episode was "The Flash" Twin Streaks. Back then, I don't think I ever heard of cloning. Well, that is what the Twin Streaks series reminds me of. A scientist experimenting got a drop of the Flash blood and made another Flash that wore a blue suit.

A Low Down Dirty Shame Could be a TV Series

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Low_Down_Dirty_Shame
A Low Down Dirty Shame could be a television series. The movie starred Keenen Ivory Wayans and Jada Pinkett Smith. It was a 1994 action film movie. If the movie had been made a television series back then, I believe it would have been hot. Jada Pinkett was very popular back then and so was Keenen. I still believe in them now because they are in a time where there is not much competition on television.

I would love to see Keenen and Jada on television for a series of a low down dirty shame. I loved the movie, and I sure wouldn't mind a few seasons of it. It is said that when someone makes a movie, it should be left alone. I disagree. If someone can make a movie and keep it going, and if someone can make a movie to keep people watching, I say don't leave it alone. Enough is enough when television has enough. Television has gone to the dogs. We need good shows and something more. That is why I say we need A Low Down Dirty Shame. Television does not have enough action, and that is a pitiful low down dirty shame.

The Best of Soul Train

Soul Train was the longest television series I have ever known. It was a great music program that I am sure many remember. I don't know anyone that did not watch it. I loved watching it and the commercial breaks in between. Soul Train is how I learned many dance moves. I would dance so much that my mother would make me sit down. She would say, "It's time for you to stop so much boogaloo (Blues)." Whenever I would go to my grandmother's house on Saturdays, my aunts and uncles and I would watch it together and dance. Our favorite part was the Soul Train line. Check out the Best of Soul Train.

Kato (The Green Hornet TV Series)

Kato is the character from the Green Hornet series. Bruce Lee played this character. This is when martial arts became popular in the United States in the 1960's.  The Green Hornet is a television series that reminds me of Batman and Robin. I did not know the Green Hornet until the Internet became popular with YouTube. There may be many people that may not know about the Green Hornet. Especially the younger generation.

Now there is an upcoming film about the Green Hornet. Jay Chou is going to play Kato. The new Green Hornet and Kato seems totally different than the original. I would say that they are more up-to-date for 2011.

Visionaries: Knights of the Magical Light Cartoon

From the cartoon Visionaries
Do you remember the cartoon, Visionaries? That cartoon really made my imagination go wild. It gave me every meaning of what a visionary could be. It was a half hour television series back in the 80's. There are two groups of knights. They were the Spectral Knights and the Dark Lords. Each character could transform into an animal. Some of the knights had power staffs. The knights without staffs could infuse vehicles with magical powers. I loved watching the Visionaries.

Disney's Zorro

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zorro_(1957_TV_series)
There was a 1957 television series of Zorro by Disney. I love watching Zorro. The stories always hold my attention. According to Wikipedia, the series lasted on ABC up until 1959. Now, that's a lot of series. Seventy eight episodes were produced. There was also four hour long specials aired on Walt Disney between 1960 and 1961. Zorro was played by Guy Williams. He made a handsome Zorro.

Today there is a new Zorro. The new Zorro is Antonio Banderas. The old television series is now made into two new Movies. The movies are The Mask of Zorro of 1998 and the Legend of Zorro of 2005.

Martin TV Series

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:MartinTVcast.jpg
I have all five seasons of the Martin TV series. Every time I watch the last DVD, I get mad. To me, Martin is the best show since Good Times. If they had kept going with it, it would have been bigger than Good Times. I haven't loved another comedy as much as I love Martin.

For Martin, I know that it must have been hard work playing as Dragon Fly, Sheneneh, Mama Payne, Elroy Preston, Jerome, and Otis. If Martin decided to bring the show back, someone else could play some of the characters. However, to me, I don't think nobody can play Sheneneh and Otis as good as Martin. It just wouldn't seem right not having Martin play those two characters.

It was fun watching Gina and Pam. I loved it when Pam would call Martin Short Borardie. I will never forget when Gina's head got stuck between the bed post. I miss seeing Brah-Man climb through the window to get in Martin's apartment. Just when Cole starts dating Shanise, the show ends. I would have loved to see Tommy more with his Father Sgt. Hamilton Strawn. The show could have went on and on. It was a never ending show that ended. I loved all of the special guests too. I'm still mad.

What About a Motown Series?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Motown_logo.svg

There was a Temptations movie for television in 1998, there was a Jackson movie of the Jacksons for television in 1992, and Dreamgirls in 2006. Motown could have a series of different movies. Motown could be it's own television station. They could also play movies of stars that were not with Motown like the Ray Charles movie and the Little Richard movie. Motown could go on doing great things and keep great music alive.

What Makes Maggie Q a Great Actress

According to Wikipedia, Maggie Q was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. Her father works for the government, and is American of Irish and Polish descent. Her mother works on a golf course and is a Vietnamese immigrant who had come to the U.S. with no money, and could not speak English.

In 1998, she started her acting career in the TV drama House of the Dragon, which was a huge hit in Asia. In 2000, Q made her film debut as Anna in the horror film Model from Hell, and went on to star as an FBI agent Jane Quigley in the action thriller Gen-Y Cops the same year. Her appearance in Gen-Y Cops impressed Jackie Chan so much that she was cast in Manhattan Midnight and Rush Hour 2. She also played in Mission Impossible 3.

What makes Maggie Q a great actress? Well, from what I can see, Maggie really makes her character herself even though she's not that character. Every character I have seen her play makes me forget that she's Maggie Q that I have seen in interviews. Maggie can play just about any kind of female with a personality. She can be sexy, she can be the strong woman, she can be the weak woman, she can be the fighter, and I could go on and on.

Q is really great at playing detective or FBI. In Nikita, she does well playing in the government role. Her father works for the government in real life, so maybe she knows something about government. I do not know what kind of government work her father does. Maybe someday Maggie could do something extraordinary and real to help people and go beyond the fantasies of acting. Who knows, maybe she'll be in the White House someday.

The Cape

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:The_Cape.jpg
There is a new series coming to NBC called The Cape. It is to last one hour. It is a superhero drama series. It is about an innocent cop who had been framed for a crime that he did not commit. He was left for dead after he was caught. The cop takes the law into his own hands by taking the appearance of his son's favorite comic book hero, "The Cape". The special suit that he wears has unique capabilities.

Sounds like a very interesting series. Superhero films are really great. I think they will be around forever. We need Superheros. I think The Cape is going to be a great one coming to our television aired on NBC.

The Legend of Bruce Lee Series

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:The_Legend_of_Bruce_Lee_poster.jpg
There is nothing on television these days. I miss great action films and films that are worth watching. There was a television series titled, The Legend of Bruce Lee. It was 50 episodes long and had been aired since Oct. of 2008. The series aired on the KTFS channel in the United States on weeknights. Well, I never heard of that channel and probably didn't have it. I never got to see the series. It would be nice if the CW Channel could put it on the air.

The Legend of Bruce Lee is the real life story of Bruce Lee played by Danny Chan. He looks like Bruce Lee's twin. There have been critics on YouTube criticizing the actor that he was no Bruce Lee. Of Course, he's not Bruce Lee. Danny Chan is a great Bruce Li. No one so far can do martial arts as fast and as good as Bruce Lee. However, I am thankful for the actor. It's like having Bruce back again, and watching Bruce's biography through a television series is something that should be brought back to television. I get sick of all of the reality television junk. Bruce Lee had an interesting life story, and I know that the series would be nice for television again.

Bruce Lee's daughter, Shannon Lee, was credited as the executive producer. You can buy the Legend of Bruce Lee 2010 at Wal-Mart, but it is not the full series.

The Nikita Series

Maggie Q  plays as a character named Nikita. She is a spy and assassin. Nikita is working to bring down an organization called Division. Division recruits troubled people with a background. Division erases their past lives and makes them spies and assassins. Nikita was a troubled street kid recruited by Division. She was betrayed and was the first recruit to escape to bring down Division.

Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) is another recruit that who was a street kid. She works for Nikita. Nikita uses Alex to destroy Division from the inside, but Division knows nothing about it.

From what I have seen of the series of 2010, Alex needed a secret little place to communicate with Nikita. Alex communicates in a room full of eyeballs that could easily see what she was doing. Luckily, she never got caught.
