House Party Topic

Photo Credit: David Shankbone • CC BY 3.0 / Wikipedia.org
House Party is a 1990 comedy film released by New Line Cinema starring Kid & Play, Full Force, Martin Lawrence, Tisha Campbell, A.J. Johnson, George Clinton, and more.

Tisha Campbell received Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Female nomination for her performance in the 1990 comedy film House Party, and later starred in it's two sequels; House Party 2 (1991), and House Party 3 (1994).

The first House Party movie was my favorite starring Robin Harris (he passed away nine days after House Party was released) played as kid's father. In the movie, kid tried to convince his father he called "Pop" to let him go to his friend's party known as Play. Kid got into a fight at school, and his father wouldn't let him go. So he sneaks out. The movie was great and fun to watch all the way through.

I'd like to see a House Party 4. I'd like to see Tisha Campbell as Sidney visit A.J. Johnson as Sharane one more time. I'd like to see them go to a party with Kid-N-Play outdoors in the projects with the streets blocked off. In the movie, everybody there could start out having a great time until they start having problems with a gang from another city entering into their territory.

If House Party 4 could be made, it cold have serious moments as well as comedy. It could be about how people should come together as one and unite.

Paul Anthony, Bow-Legged Lou, and B-Fine from Full Force always chased kid in the movie House Party. In House party 4, what I'm thinking about, they would all have to put there differences aside to help save their community.

If there be violence in the movie, Play could say, "Oh No! Kid got hurt!"

And Pee-Wee (Bowlegged Lou) would probably say, "He can't die! I won't have anybody to chase anymore!"

And of course , Kid would turn out to be alright. In the end, Mothers and Fathers and children could all have a wonderful and safe House Party. If another House Party movie could be made, it could be bigger and better than it ever was. I'm Gail Nobles, and today's topic is House Party.

Tasha Smith - The Biopic Look of Donna Summer

Actress Tisha Campbell has known Tasha Smith since she was 15 years old. They met in New Jersey according to Tisha. Tisha knew that she was special and went looking for her, and when she found Tasha she said, "You're not suppose to be here and you know it."

Today, Tasha Smith is a great actress just like her friend Tisha. Tasha starred as Angela Williams in the Tyler Perry film, "Why Did I Get Married" in 2007 and it's sequel, and on the television series based on the movies, "For Better or Worse" (2011 -2017). In 2015, Tasha began a recurring role as Carol Holloway on the fox musical drama series "Empire". Later in the same year, Smith made her directorial debut.

I remember reading an article in 2012 that it was Tasha's dream role to play as Donna Summer in a movie biopic. Well, she certainly has the perfect look to play as Donna. Tasha has the cheeks, the nose, the grin, and eyes too. Tasha has great acting skills, and I believe strongly that she could be the one to play as Donna. To me, Donna Summer always kept her young look though she did age some. Tasha is younger than Donna today. I don't believe that there would be a problem for Tasha to play as Donna Summer.

Donna would probably tell Tasha:

Can I just say that, Tasha, I know you are a star. Well, you know something? Hit me with your best shot. I really have a feeling that you can do it. They wait so long to see a biopic. Something of me for the last time.

I'm Gail Nobles and today's topic is Tasha Smith.

A Man Called Hawk

A Man Called Hawk Do you remember the television series called, “A Man Called Hawk”? It was a prime time television series from ABC in the 80's.

Avery Franklin Brooks (born October 2, 1948) is an American actor, director, singer, and educator. He is best known for his television roles as Benjamin Sisko on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, as Hawk on Spenser: For Hire and its spinoff A Man Called Hawk.

A Man Called Hawk is an American action drama series that ran on ABC from January 1989 until May 13, 1989. The series is a spin-off of the crime drama series Spenser: For Hire, and features the character Hawk, who first appeared in the 1976 novel Promised Land, the fourth in the series of Spenser novels by mystery writer Robert B. Parker.

On Spenser: For Hire, the character of Hawk was defined by his sharp outfits, streetwise manner, sunglasses (worn even at night) and the incredibly large long-barreled Colt Python .357 Magnumrevolver that he carried with him nearly everywhere. He most often acted as a street resource for his private detective friend Spenser. Notably, Hawk had a clean shaven head, well before Michael Jordan and other celebrities popularized the look in the 1990s.

Shazam 1981 Cartoon

Do you remember the 1981 Shazam cartoon. It would be nice if film makers would make a movie for theaters out of him. Right now, it's all about Superman. I don't believe Shazam was ever made out of a movie for the big screen. Shazam was also a television series. Shazam appears in the 1941 film serial "Adventures of Captain Marvel" portrayed by Nigel De Brulier.

BruhMan from the Fifth Floor Paid Me a Visit on Twitter

Google Image
It's was so great tweeting with BruMan from the fifth floor on Martin. I miss seeing BruMan climb through Martin Lawrence's window to get into his apartment. He was so bold to go into Martin's refrigerator to get a bite to eat. BruMan acted as if he lived in Martin's apartment without being invited. It was BruMan that made us laugh too. If you are wondering what BruMan is up to now, follow him on Twitter.

Michelle Weeks from Little Shop of Horrors

Wikipedia
Little Shop of Horrors is a film I remember seeing on television. Tisha Campbell and Tichina Arnold from the comedy Martin played in the film. I would often wonder what happened to Michelle Weeks. She was also in the film with Tisha and Tichina. I found out that she is still singing and making music.

Amos n Andy - Kingfish Sells a Lot

From YouTube
Amos n Andy was a comedy very popular on radio and television in the 1920s through 1950s. There is one episode that I remember from television. It was titled, "Kingfish Sells a Lot". I loved it. I laughed so hard at the comedy. I think it was a great comedy and no worse than the comedies of today. That's why I never cared about the controversy. Amos n Andy made me laugh and that's the reason I loved the comedy when it was first introduced to me in my day and time.

Happily Divorced

Happily Divorced is new to me. It is my second time watching it since the new shows. I never watched the show until this year of 2013. If you haven't watched Happily Divorced before, you must check it out. What is so interesting to me is Tichina Arnold is now in the show. I love Tichini on any comedy she plays in. She is hilarious. You can see a sneak preview of Happily Divorced which is on TV Land. You can see it on Wednesday nights starting at 10:30 pm.

Check out the video Happily Divorced: The Biggest Chill. Judi (Tichina Arnold) has a boyfriend whom she hasn't seen in years. Her boyfriend (played by Keenen Ivory Wayans) shows up to rekindle their romance. Fran pushes Judi to go for it. Judi finds out that her boyfriend is married. This episode is a very good one starting off in the new year. To me, Tichina was the star in this particular episode. She played her part very well and kept you watching the whole time.

Real Husbands of Hollywood Clip

" Real Husbands of Hollywood". I hear that title a lot roaming the Internet and television. If you have heard about it, you know that Duane Martin is one of those real husbands of Hollywood. This is kind of a funny clip to watch of him and his wife Tisha.

Mindless Behavior

YouTube
When I saw the video of Tisha Campbell in Mindless Behavior, I thought about something. Boys do pop their lips and wave their hands when mamas tell them no. I remember when my brother use to say, "Come on, Ma."

My mama use to say, "Boy, I'm coming on. Shut up while I'm talking." When I watch this video, I laugh and Tisha does a great job playing the mama.
